You will meet other folks while you are at it. This is awfully important because isolation can be quite a problem as you age.
It’ll be just like work!
Yes, a side hustle is like work but typically refers to extra work while you are retired. Itโs often a way to earn extra income, pursue a passion, or explore new opportunities. Unlike a traditional job, side hustles are usually flexible and self-driven.
Examples of side hustles
Do you like to cook? Is making cakes or cupcakes your specialty? You have met many friends over the years. Sometimes, they need cupcakes or a cheesecake for a special occasion. This is a great opportunity.

I mentioned dog walking before. If you are a dog lover like I am, walking a dog a few times a week would be perfect. The dogโs owner would appreciate it, and you would get some exercise and money to boot. Being a dog sitter falls in line with dog walking.
Childcare
Babysitting can be a great side hustle for senior citizens. It is ideal for those who enjoy spending time with children and have a pleasant demeanor. It offers flexible hours and the opportunity to earn extra income while providing reliable family care. Seniors can leverage their life experience and patience to create a trusted, calming presence for kids.

Create a blog
More writing! Millions of blogs are out there, and some make quite a lot of money. The cost of starting a blog varies.
