If you have hobbies like collecting things or painting, now is the perfect time to focus on them. Or there’s anything else that you do after work; it’s time to dive deep into those hobbies. Maybe you like to play golf, tennis, or run. Nothing is stopping you now from getting your fill of those hobbies. Or maybe you have always wanted to give something a try. Even if you have limited mobility, you can still do plenty.

Walking through parks or trails by yourself or with friends can be rewarding. If you are starting, donโt overdo it. Any exercise, if you can, is beneficial to your health, physically and mentally.

Pushing yourself off the couch or bed to do something can be difficult at first, but you must try!
When my father died, my mother didnโt know what to do with herself. It was difficult, but she started volunteering at her church and elsewhere. She met friends along the way as well.
I know it did her a world of good and kept her mentally sharp. She made the best of the situation.
